This is the latest update of my forward testing on Bonansa EA and going to be my last update. It’s been 3 months since I was testing it and I am going to stop it this last August 2008.
Overall, this EA doesn’t give performance as I expected. During 3 months forward testing, the margin decreased about 37% from $1,000 to $629.77.
I think this EA has small reward/risk ratio 1:12, where for TP : 5-10 pips, you have to risk your 60 pips for SL. And due to limited time trading hours ( 22.00 PM - 01.00 AM GMT ), the EA would not open too many orders. So with — let say — 2 consecutive lost in a row, your account balance will be ruin.
I tried to compare my forward testing result with the official result in Bonansa website, the result was about the same as we use same broker, FXDD. But the author also uses ODL broker which is a bit better than the result in FXDD. $235 profit from $1,000 initial deposit. I can say 23.5% is not bad for 3 months of trading.
If you are interested of using this EA for your live trading or forward test it, you can contact Bonansa from his website. Unfortunately, for non-Japanese native language, the web won’t be easy for your eyes. LOL.
Hmm… I would be pleased to help him design his website with a little cost. LOL.
